Opportunity for orienteering au-pair in Sheffield, UK.

The Baxter family are looking for an au-pair from September 2017 until July 2018. The family are keen orienteers. Kim was W21E British Long Champion in 2016 and is also Physiotherapist to the British Junior and Senior teams (http://www.kimbaxterphysiotherapy.co.uk/). Richard props up the middle of the table in H45.

Ella, 8, now competes regularly and is Sheffield School's Champion for her age group. Jack, 6, enjoys the outdoor life orienteering provides but is not yet keen on competing!

Sheffield (http://theoutdoorcity.co.uk/) is an active city with the Peak District National Park a run, cycle or bus trip away. South Yorkshire Orienteers (https://www.southyorkshireorienteers.org.uk/) are very active, they have a weekly club night and hold schools league events throughout the school term and compete regularly locally, nationally and internationally.

The local university club SHUOC (http://www.shuoc.co.uk/) has been one of the leading university clubs for the last fifty years (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sheffield_University_Orienteering_Club) and is also very active holding regular training sessions. In addition there are athletics and mountain running clubs that hold regular training sessions attended by orienteers.

The house is located a twenty minute walk from the city centre and is surrounded by two major universities with plenty of pubs, cafes and restaurants within five minutes walk. The city centre has a lively music and nightlife scene. Much of Sheffield is mapped to ISSOM standard and there are numerous parks nearby. Should you need hill training there are hills aplenty.

Duties will include taking the kids to school and collecting them along with some cooking, babysitting and housework. All food and accomodation is included and payment will be £85 for about 25 hours per week.
